Mieko Sperbeck is an assistant adjunct professor of Japanese at John Jay College and an adjunct professor of Linguistics at Adelphi University. She received her M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research interest is in the acquisition of second language speech and Japanese linguistics.
